North Albert Field Archers is a Family Orientated club. The club is located in the lovely bushland of Yatala, to embrace the love of Archery in it’s Natural Habitat. Information about North Albert Field Archers can be found here for a complete background of the club, when the club started, when the club changed location and consists history about the club.

North Albert Field Archers has a number of ranges, of which 2 are permanent (comprising 20x Bale style targets) and which are available to all club members 7 days a week. The club also sets up 2-5 courses which consists of 10 3D targets that are shot on a monthly basis at 3DAAA club events (see club calendar). The only times any of the ranges are closed, is the day before a competition, on the day of a competition, and on working bee’s.

All financial members and paid visitors are covered by public liability insurance if they are injured on the ranges. Many members have achieved qualifications in many facets of archery, game scoring, bow hunting education etc. These members are very approachable in sharing their knowledge with anyone interested.

The club caters for many shooting disciplines, from traditional (longbow) to high speed compound bows with scopes.

The bow on the left is a compound bow, the bow on the right is a traditional bow. There are many different makes of bow’s. There are Bowtech, Hoyt, Matthews, just to name a few for compound bows. Depending on the compound bow, you may require a release aid, once again there are many types. It all comes down to personal choice, to what feels better and more natural for the shooter. Don’t choose a bow based on another person’s opinion of the bow. Buy the bow because it feel’s right for you. The other person may assist you with opinions about bows. But it’s you who will be spending the money and shooting the bow.

As for the traditional bow, once again there are many makes and models. Everyone has their own personal preference, and each bow has a price range as well. With traditional bow’s they are best being finger released with either a finger tab, or a glove.
